Collaborative research and education under the Alliance for Water, Health and Development
The Alliance for Water, Health and Development (aWHD) is a framework for collaborative research and PhD education. The aim is to enhance the understanding of the interrelations of Water, Health and Development issues and providing solutions to problems in this field. Parties currently involved are the Dutch institutes Radboud University, Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and Deltares. From the Indonesian side, the Institute Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) are involved. The current collaboration project with Indonesia focuses on sustainable water resources management of the Upper Citarum River Basin (Java). Because of the many shared fields of interests, the aWHD at Radboud University premises is collaborating closely with the Royal Academy of Sciences SPIN-DIKTI project New Indonesian Frontiers.
